Flyfishing with Hoppers in Patagonia
Some of the most amazing dry fly
patterns are grasshopper imitations. Especially in hot summer days, which are present in
Patagonian Destinations. Small to medium rivers are home to some of the most
agressive rainbow and brown trout which feed eagerly on desperate
grasshoppers, blown away from nearby grass fields when the strong winds
arise. Learn more here.

(c) 2000 Rodrigo Sandoval
The Pichi Leufu rivers runs just a few miles north from
the Patagonian city of San Carlos de Bariloche, in Argentina. This
stream is an excellent place for the first or last day in your Patagonia
adventure, as it offers a healthy rainbow and brown trout population, as well as
consistent hatches. Also, as this pictures portraits, incredible sunsets
as the days comes to an end. Click
